Hello, Heather here.

I’ve been a photo package door to door salesperson, a barmaid/bartender, adult video store rental clerk, in a clothing retail store, restaurant waitress, hairdresser, educator, pizza chef, and member of a rock and roll country band. Oh, also an addict, an alcoholic, and I’ve been a mess. I’ve had 2 husbands, 4 more long term relationships, as well as 2 beautiful biological children, 6 faraway step children and grandchildren. I also have strong and dysfunctional issues related to a life of “happenings”. This blog will be about hope and change, growth and love, anger and shame. Finding other souls to connect and share trauma, truth, and healing with is my purpose. I want to learn from you and share topics of interest with like minded souls.

I was often more compelled to seek resolve with my Higher Power if I was in a dire situation. Perhaps a regretful decision. Wishing I hadn’t been where I was, did or said what I said, or to get out of danger safe and sound from a situation I had gotten myself into. I have prayed to God sitting at the slots, or when my partner was cheating on me to get him to please just love me, or to feed an addiction of some sort. I once prayed for excess just to see what I could withstand. I wanted to prove I could handle it.
